Carb adjustment

I have a Chilton book that covers cars from that era, which might help. Can you get a model designation for the carb? Chevy cars of that era used a rochester BC or BV.

If it's like most single bbl. carbs of that sort, the main adjustment is the idle mixture screw, and the initial adjustment for that is 1 and 1/2 turns out.

Float level is probably 1 9/32, measured with a gauge and adjusted by bending the float arm, and drop 1 3/4, set with a small ruler measuring from the gsket surface to the bottom of the float, and adjusted by bending the tang on the float (that's on the far end of the float, and bumps against the side of the float valve).

There are other adjustments that require gauges, not easy to describe. If you can get me a model designation I might be able to find a diagram.
