yes with 1/2" clearance I ran one on my 95 with a 242 and have sold over 100 others without a problem, some years of the 242 came with a shorter TC rubber mount but those can swap for the 231 mount and have no problems

Will the gas tank skid have any problems mounting on an XJ with factory tow package, rear hitch? That skid looks stout and a very clean fit.

another vote for XJNATION... before i got my T&T longarm kit which includes a bombproof x-member,
i ran the XJNATION t-case skid and was a happy camper.
