6.5" is useless. It may look "cool", but especially on 31s, there's no point to it.

6.5 isn't useless. It's what I want. I'm going to get 35s. The whole reason I got an xj is because I thought they are "cool" and I like them. I'm sure you got yours for the same reason as well. This whole post kinda went from insightful to discouraging.

If you're only on 31s right now and don't have all the proper parts, 6.5" of lift is useless. Drop it down some, and then when you get all the right parts, you can reinstall the spacers and everything if you want. But right now, while getting death wobble and, most likely, driveline vibes, you could end up costing yourself a lot more in the future.
