My AX-15 is stuck in 5th gear is this something simple that I can fix or do I need to ****can it and get another one.

Well, first you need to find out if it's the tranny or the slave cylinder, if the tranny was good and just suddenly stuck I'd be more inclined to check the slave. What year ?
I ask because either 95 or newer have external slaves that are easy, older one are internal and you need to pull the DS/TC/Tranny/bell housing to get to it. If it's an internal it might be a good time to convert it to external
