ABS Light causes?

Ok so my lady is driving my 00 XJ the other day. It's raining pretty hard. She says the brakes locked up for a moment then released. Then the ABS light came on. I dont know weather I have ABS any more (probably not) and she seems to break just fine otherwise. Any troubleshooting ideas/tips?

Oh and I did search before posting but it seems the search terms ABS, Light, Breaks etc return a wealth of threads NOT pertaining to break issues.

ABS operation will not affect the normal operation of the brakes. The problem can be anything from, wheel sensors to the computer. I would suggest seeing if you can pull codes to help better identify your problem.
