Other tech, I know, bite me

Car: '97 Camry 4cylinder auto trans.
Problem: Car won't go. Regardless of R, D, 2, L nothing will get the car to move from a standstill. If let to cool car will regain mobility until it heats up again and loses it. Motor will rev to the sky and car will sit still. Does this sound like a bad torque convertor to you? or a problem with the valvebody? or ? Fluid is full but black.

Thanks

Ary

P.S. Mom's DD so I need to figure this out asap.

probably won't fix nothin but change the fluid since its black, and it sounds like either the tranny got overheated maybe and burnt the fluid which could do serious damage elsewhere, or the torque converter. I'm no tranny mech tho so I'd take that with a grain of salt
