I am looking at swapping 95 yj Wrangler front axle shafts (bigger u-joint) into my 1990 MJ Dana 30. Does it matter if the YJ shafts are ABS or not?? and do I have to switch the intermediate shaft between the carrier and the dis-connec on the passenger side?? Many Thanks
If the YJ axle has the ABS tone ring, just knock it of if not needed. And you should be able to use the same intermediate shaft. The difference is on the outside shaft from the dissconnect to the u-joint. I think the YJ shafts have a small bearing on the inside of the huge spline side. Although not 100% positive without looking at it.
