That's a good question. Has anyone ever tried to squeeze every single pony out of 4.0L? Most people just do a 4.6L stroker because that gives you the best bang for the buck, but what if someone was insanely rich/crazy/ talented?

Biggest amc 6 I've heard of is the 5.0... that's with resleeved cylinders and everything... I doubt you could get it any bigger...

But if it was super'd/turbo'd with NOS it would probably get some insane power... and then shoot a rod through the block... haha...

Nobody makes a forged crank for the 4.0 right? That's kind of a limiting factor there.

There's no chance that OUR I6 could produce those 1/4 mile numbers. You could use an I6 to do it but not ours.

Besides that engine was 7.2 Liters!!!! WOW... no wonder they got a 9 sec pass.

an inline 6 cant get the RPMs it takes to run like that. ask hesco.

Mine should run a mid-high 9 at sea level, but I got nothing for a 9.2 yet.

it was only 2wd with slicks. he would not have been able to do a brake stand in the burnout box if it was 4wd
