89 Renix AC question

looked and didn't find what I was looking for. Is there a AC compressor fuse hidden under the dash someplace and if so where. Blower motor comes on but compressor clutch does not lock up. If i jumper straight to the compressor it locks up.

sounds like you are either low on freon or your pressure switch is bad.....Clutch will not lock up with low pressure in system, unless you do like you did and used a jumper to override the pressure switch.

A quick test is to short across the pressure switch and see if the compressor runs. If so, it is either a switch or low pressure. It will rule everything else out.
