I replaced my TPS a month ago and adjusted it to .826, this seemed to fix almost all drivability problems. Well except it would still get a random miss that leaned it so bad it would die. This would happen whenever it wanted, no reason I could find. But.... it did appear to almost always happen during a downshift of the auto trans. I did the trans cable adjustment that I found here and that seemed to help a little but did not solve it.
So I decided to re-adjusted the TPS this weekend to .831 and after two days of normal driving I have not had a single miss or stall.
So my question then is, does this adjustment matter that much to have been able to cause a miss and a stall at .826 but not a .831?
