sidriptide said:this is the RE 4.5" sper-flex kit with a 3/4" spacer on the front coils, and 300# of junk in the rear.. sits evenly at 5.5" after a full summer of abuse... the MT/Rs are 33x12.50s on 15x8 Cragar wheels.. if i ran a narrow 33 i probably wouldnt need to cut the front so high, but without longer bumpstops in the front i stuff them all the way up into the inner wells and rub the shock tower.... i get very little flare rubbing in the rear but no hard contact.

Harvo said:Exremewlr - I dig your XJ. Looks really nice and functional. How tough was it to cut your rear flares like that to make use of them with the rear doors? How are you liking the lift? Are you happy you bought the 4.5 inch lift as a kit instead of using the 3.5 inch kit with some upgraded parts?

Harvo said:With the setup you have now, do your tires rub anywhere? Your fenders are cut pretty liberally. With what you know now, do you think the 5.5 inch lift would require cutting sheetmetal anywhere besides the front of the tire just under the turn signal?
xjfrancis said:if I got the RE 5.5 and fenders trimmed what tire size would go best with that lift? I think it would be nice to go with the 34s but what companies make 34 inch tires?
