No, it is a coil rail or coil pack setup, there is no distributor

Have you checked the plug on your coil pack? It's tight back there and there's a chance that it was damaged or not completely connected. I had a similar problem when I changed plugs on my 2000.

It also does say no bus after about 5 seconds of the key being on, and no gauges work, but we have a good, tested crank sensor, with power to it, with signal coming from it

That is quite possible...I have had to remove many aftermarket alarms to "fix" random electrical issues
