1999 XJ STALLING ISSUE

Already did it, and cleaned up the 3 connectors as well. Could a faulty TPS create that DTC (P2300 or code 54) ? As far as I know the TPS is not part of ignition-timming equation, is it?.
 
P2300 Ignition Coil "A" Primary Control Circuit Low

DVOM time, you need to test the 12 volt supply to the coil.

Just for fun, measure the voltage between the battery's terminals and post it up.
 
Just found out that the distribuitor internal shaft has en excessive end play. I also see corrotion all around the CMP sensor and the rotor too.
