1991 Jeep Briarwood

FWIW, I run the autopal enclosures (~$40 shipped), Hella 80/100s (~$25 shipped for 2), and an upgraded harness (Adam can chime in here, maybe spent about $75 and then some time?) courtesy of Adam.

Autopal enclosures

Could even get these, they have the little "city light" that lights up the enclosure for whatever reason you might want it. (I know you love stupid **** like that :D)

High beams are pretty much useless except in NH or places where there are NO street lights as they easily overpower everything else. Adam can attest to how bright my headlights are as I believe he went out and bought the Hella bulbs soon after I did.

I don't think I would ever want a brighter headlight than this setup. No need for it. And it's a clean, white light.

FWIW Colin is a wuss. You don't need new lights, wiper blades or high beams. I don't have those things and it's not needed whatsoever.

So I finally got it registered and inspected yesterday. Feels good to be driving it around. The guys at the shop I took it to all loved it, and kept saying they wanted to swap it with the Jeep they lend out to people, which is an '87 Waggy. (they also all realized who I was, their words were "that f-ing kid with the green Jeep lifted sky high that they won't give an inspection sticker to," and had a few laughs at that)
They said that I could come back and swap my taillights for the waggy lights, they really don't care much about it.

I now have to replace the water pump and idler pulley. When taking everything apart, I noticed that the u-joint in the steering shaft right where it goes into the box has tons of play, and I'm hoping its the cause of the very weird steering issue I've been noticing.

I also noticed I have some blowback, as there was some oil on the air filter.

I'd give it a 2" OME, a 242 transfer case, and some 30" all-weathers. Then fix the rust and stop working on it.

It came stock with a 242, it has pretty much brand new tires on it, and I'm not in the mood to lift it any time soon.

But I might put new leaf springs in sometime in the distant future, and I already have my old 2" coil spacers for the front.

Me like. I always liked the darker colored Briarwoods.

Wow, didn't see this before.

Crusher, ya I had seen your Briarwood before, and found a bunch of pictures around when I searched for Briarwoods once I bought mine. I like yours a lot, looks good with all your mods.

RedZeppelin, its hard to tell, is that green? I love the green Briarwoods. As far as trim, what trim do you happen to have?

chopped the top tho and she lives on as a wood hauler! lol

Well, for those of you who don't read the Lots-O-Posts thread, I crashed the Brairwood, lovingly known as "The Blairwitch," last weekend.

I'm an idiot, that is all.

I was extremely depressed last weekend.

I had just put those KC foglights on the week before. They survived untouched since '96, (yes, they were made in '96 and were never used, or opened until I got them), and then they are demolished 1 week after I use them.

Its not driveable, the radiator was punctured, fender is in the tire, and the worst part is, there is unibody damage.

Ouch, that sucks. I feel for your loss

Have no fear, I'm going to fix it. I'm about to strip the damaged pieces off it right now, and assess the unibody damage.

It will drive again, I'm not letting it get totalled.

oh man just found your thread. I see how you have so little miles now. I bet the original owner paid MSRP for it too! Thats a real tragedy, but it could have been alot worse. rebuild it and put an ARB on the front so this mess doesn't happen again!

Are those factory replacement KC's???
