1989 to 2001 Door swap

We swapped 2001 doors onto our ‘89 Laredo. Original had power windows and locks, as do the new 2001 doors. The new doors also have power mirrors. Anyone have a reference for the original harness wire colors/pin locations (kind of back traced it from the switch block) to marry them up with the newer door harness?

If you still have the original doors, then trial-and-error's an option.

I added power mirrors to my '92 15 years ago, and updated to 97+mirrors about 3 back, but my truck wasn't wired for that accessory and I had to build my own harness using the FSM wiring list as a reference (which, if you have that, is also an option).

Thanks, I’ll go check your link out, since tge new doors also have power mirrors. We do still have the old doors. I found a pretty good reference (https://oljeep.com/gw/elec/cherokee/91076b24.pdf) and it matches what we have for the most part. Now i just need to figure out a couple colors that don’t match up to that diagram, the correlate it all to the 2001 door harness.

My son and I are taking pretty comprehensive notes, so I’ll post it up once (*if) we get it all working.
