Just to shorten down the reading, a summary:

Would it be better to run 39's with a 350 v8 with either:

d44 front, Eaton rear?

OR

d60 front, d60 rear?

defintely D60s!! the front 44 won't hold up to 39s, just make sure the rear 60 is 35 spline.

late 70s Ford F350 for the front D60, good luck finding one of those.

rear 60s are common in the 30 spline flavor, you can upgrade that to 35 spline, or to keep it cheap just get a D70 or 14 bolt.
