What's wrong with aluminum, especially at one inch? Now CAST alum (or anything) between leaves and perch is out of the question IMO. I machined some alum 1" spacers once that worked quite well. I bolted them to the spring pack via the center bolt for what its worth. YMMV

So, It sounds like I am going with a 1" block. anybody know where to order one? Does anyone have the shim built into it? Seems like that has to be out there.

Well, I have been searching the web, can't seem to find some that are a bit longer and solid with shim built it.... anybody outthere seen something even close to this? maybe I will have to give up on the longer anti-wrap idea....
