Really, call the cam manufacturer. Few people know more about stuff then the people that make it.
With out knowing that much about the motor. I would go to the safe side and say yes. Replace with at least good stockers if the Cam Man don't call for better.
First check to see what kind of clutch you have. It's not a silicon if it has a spring in the center. If so equipped. Losing/tighting this spring by 1/2 turn may help. I have read that this has also locked up the clutch. Just fine for short time us in my book.
The stock clutch works just fine...
Only Renix 1987 to 1990 had knock sensors.

Thanks
I don't know how you took you A/F readings but most just replace the O2 with a wide band. That will give a nice average A/F.
Problem: Even with PFI some cylinders may still run a bit lean. Fine with a fat...
Lets just be different here.
Unless you get real luckly like Dirtweazle. True drop in 258 cranks are a thing of the past. Most will need some work to get them to fit. All I6 blocks are getting old and if your putting out for a rework crank it would be a sad thing to put in in a block with...
How's this for a fly in your stuff. Is the reason for the HP bump above 3K (((JUST))) do to the ECU going open?
Maybe it's that funny looking intake and the reworked cam that came with it. Lets see according my calculation they should kick in at about.............3k wow...
Ground triggering is often cheaper. Less wires,
If the ECU was + triggering relays. The main power lead into the cabin would need to carry just that much more load. Maybe needing to be bigger. The ECU would need to carry and distribute this power. As is, it's a short and simple path to the...
Check your head and block insure they are true.
Your head gasket blew for some reason. TRY to find it. Else you MAY be right back in the same boat soon. It may have been a piss poor job of cleaning/torque at the factor. A little dirt can do lot of bad things...
regearing: do you like how it fell now or is it marginal or under powered to you. If so regear.
You may need stops and/ot triming to make it work.
steering: 33 is about the max for the stock set up with good TRE. Depends a lot on your type off offing too. you said your an easy goer. BUT that...
I didn't know that "too much" drop in temperature through the radiator was a bad thing,
=================================================================
IN MOST CASES there is no such thing as too much drop. BUT in a few raw cases if the income coolant is VERY low a Tstat will close cutting...
((((((IMO)))))))))
The real problem is two fold.
First them 2 dam pre cats and the cast iron manifold releasing tons of stored up heat well after key off. This heat generates excessive fuel pressure in the rail, injectors etc.
2. todays fuel systems with the regulator in the tank. That lets...
For small tires 31/32 and mild offing the 4.10 and the LR is a good setup IMO. If you looking at bigger tires and/or like to pound on her? Sell the 4.10 and use the bucks for bigger gears the locker is a harder call. Many are useing it with 35 and mild or little offing with no problem. Others...
ONE relay is the cheep smart setup> but if using two try fusing each line with a fuse no larger then the relay it's protecting. This way if one relay false the other will be protected by it's fuse when working relay takes the full load.
Down side to this setup. One relay will always close A...
Be a shame if you were promoting venturing off the trail anywhere that could get shut down as a result...

Right you are.
I am usually on my own beloved 24.5 acres or other private lands. Trails blazing is seldom done. Generally for...
If you want to use them on the road. They can not go on the roof. Not in Ohio anyway. Check your state reg.
Offing: What type fast/slow
For slow offing your not looking to pitch a beam 2 miles down the trail. Why because you would never be able to see that fare anyway. Not on any trail I did...
