Have had this problem for the last couple weeks, my 92 4.0 4 speed Laredo would not crank over at the gas station/ no sound under the hood like solenoid kicking in at all. I got it pulled home and tried crossing it over with a screw driver at the starter and all it does is give a little spark...
My 92 has developed a low groaning noise when shifting between gears? (kinda like a groaning whiring sound when the clutch pedal is pushed in.
and stiff shifter engagement, any thoughts??

Getting alot of tire scrub and squealng during cornering and tight turns around town. Mostly when in right turns, also notice more wear on the outer tread edge up front than in back.
Steering wheel is slow to return to center.
Any ideas?
I've got a 92 with 215/75/15's ,and a 4.0 and 5 speed , and 307's. It's time for new tires and was wondering how much larger I can go in tire size before the jeep's performance and fuel economy becomes adversly affected?
Just got done with my small lift /boost on my 92.Using 52002392 . Rear spring, 4 leaves (LT).
LT - 7" free arch, load rating 755 ,from Rigid Steel. and CC784
Carquest HD XJ progressive coils ,I got 19 in in the back and 19.25 at the front. Thats 1 inch more than I exspected from the leaves and...
Just put my new springs on the back of my 92.
Part number 52002392, Suppose to give 1 inch over stock height (17 inch).When I set it back down it was at 20", have driven 100miles and they are at 19.
Woundering if it's likely they will drop down any more?
wanting to know how big a job it is, and whats needed to to rebuild the RE ajustable control arms? I have a pair I got second hand and the rubber bushings are worn, also one of the joints
binds in a spot or two through out it's range.
Rounded off a lug nut on the drivers side rear.
Took a easyoff reverse lug nut remover socket to it, Lug nut broke off at the start of the stud.
In other words the business half of it is still there from the tip of the stud to the wheel.
Ive got those factory aluminum wheels where the studs are...
I bought a 92 laredo a couple months ago, It has 292.000 on it and looks and runs strong.
The touble is I live in the country and drive gravel roads daily and run across allot of ruff road conditions, the Jeep handels pretty well, cept when it encounters wash boards the back end really hammers...
Are the coils used on 1991 and 92 XJ's the same?
A parts guy told me jeep made a change in the front suspension so there's difference, and I can't use 91 springs on my 92.?
