    Lining the Rockers

These are some of my Jeeps (and a Tracker) That I have done. They were sprayed at 35 -40 PSI with a Schutz gun. I think they look better sprayed, rather than rolled...and it's the same amount of work. And my Dad's truck...

Okay, since this thread has been revived, I'll axe a question...:) I have a 97 XJ Auto with 5.5" lift, 33's and 4:56 gears, banks header, 62mm TB, TB spacer, K&N Cold air intake and flowmaster exaust. I will be towing a 17' hybrid travel trailer (Trail lite c17) I have trailer brakes, and...

    Lining the Rockers

You can remove it when it is dry if you use the rattle can stuff, but if you use the spray/roll on product, you need to remove it when it is wet. This stuff dries rock hard and the tape will tear.

    Planning on 6.5" and 33's - '97 XJ

Did you get all of your used parts locally? If not...add in the shipping costs, your gas and time to go get them.

Wow...just about done (well, for this year) Pics inside

I knew the taillights would get a rise out of some of you...:) I like them and that's all that matters...and I got them free.;) As for the tires (33's btw)I like them. they are quite and ride smooth but only time will tell how well they wear. They are wayyy quiter than my MTR's were. The...

    Planning on 6.5" and 33's - '97 XJ

97 and new XJ are prone to rear DS vibration and binding. I ran 8" of lift on my 91 and had the DS lengthened 1" and used a 1" t-case drop. It worked fine, but with my 97, I could not get away with that. You could try using a DS with a double cardan joint. I ran one on my 89 and it worked...

    what inverter to get

I know this is off the Canaidian site, but it is a smokin deal. I run this in my work van and it powers my microwave nicely. I have one in my XJ and it powers my Porter cable pancake compressor for use on the trails. Great for airing up and air tools...

    Planning on 6.5" and 33's - '97 XJ

The best bang-for-the-buck lift is the Rouch country 6.5 system ($899) with the drop brackets ($189). Not sure, bit looks like you made need to buy the brakelines extra. You will definately need a sye...hack and tap with a stock front front ds is fine (don't forget the adapter). With 33's, stock...

    Homemade track bar?......

The factory trackbar is soild... On my first XJ, I used the factory bar, cut off the TRE and welded on solid stock, drilled and tapped it and put ina hiem joint. I did bend the bar with heat and used a drop bracket to get everything to line up (TB paralell with drag link). It was strong and...

Rough Country drop bracket install w/ pics

You can run the factory arms...but beware that they are not very strong... They will work, but aftermarket "fixed length" arms would be best.

    Bushwacker Hardware

The nice thing about the bushwacker hardware is that it will pull out of the sheetmetal (body) when it comes in contact with something ie: tree/tire. If you bolt or rivit it...the flare will break...something has to give and I'd rather it be the hardware rather than the plastic flare.

    Rear Tire Carrier

If you are concerned about it rattling, just drill and tap a hole on top of the reciever and put in a set screw. (the wing type). If you wanted to get "wild and crazy" you could do the same on the sides as well... ;)

    6-6.5

Okay...from a price point...Roughcountry 6.5" System with drop brackets under $1200. I don't run this kit, but it seems comlete for the price. I have the Rockkrawler long arm kit, but it was more than $1200.

    Warrior Products front bumper

It does, which is why I said I would be beefing up the mounting points... I like the 1/8 steel...it keeps the weight down. Plus, we have no rocks here, so it's not a big deal.

    Warrior Products front bumper

Thanks for the compliments. I just need to bedline the rockers and put the flares on...and it done...well, mostly. Floating tie rod? not a bad idea! It's just an illusion...must be the bright silver paint throwing your eyes off :) you just can't see the black TRE. Here's a couple...

    Warrior Products front bumper

Since there doesn't seem to be any really good pics of this bumper installed (that I could find) I thought I'd post one up. Overall I'm happy with the bumper...I will be beefing up the mounting points, and installing a reciever. For the price, it was a great starting point and is very clean...
