My black 96 Two Door is for sale. I put a rebuilt transmission in it and mounted Goodyear Kevlar Adventure 31 x 10.5 Kevlar tires about 20K ago.
I was so totally sweet. Than a tree fell on it in a snow storm. Crushed the hood, right front fender, waggie header, radiator and some small...

For the good of the order. I am not the seller nor do I even know the seller.
Still running the stock D35c. (ABS, that's why).
Time to upgrade I think. The left shaft bearing surface took a dump.
I need a serviceable replacement shaft to get me through to the next stage, or a complete Chry 8.25 to install at this time (and ditch the ABS).
Anyone have such parts...

I was at PnP SJ South today looking for a cruise control servo. Came across a 97 Grand Chero with what looked like a nearly new 4.0L engine. Black paint hardly dirty. Freeze plugs all shiny. Looks like a new or reman install just before a bad day that sent the Jeep to the yard.

Seats are in Santa Cruz (Fins Coffee, 1104 Ocean St. Hours 6 AM to 11 PM daily). I am in Groveland until Tuesday evening. Anyone can pick them up anytime we are open and leave $45 cash for me with my staff. The are expecting.
Just let me know what's up. Others are interested. Don't want...
Yep. Bolt 'em right in! Pics are on the chrerokee forum southwest stuff for sale page if you want to take a look.
Where do you want to meet? I am in Groveland today. Will be transiting mid day to Santa Cruz Tuesday, tomorrow. I can bring them with me if you want them.
Took a set of seats out of my 96 two door XJ. A bit worn, but seat faces are not ripped. Slight tears in some spots and on the side fabric. But over all very good shape for the age. Grey.
Meet in Santa Cruz/Monterey, South Bay Area, Dublin/L'more/Tracy, or Highway 120 corridor to...
Just an oddball suggestion here. I was having similar issue recently. Turned out to be a loose connector to the Throttle Position Sensor on the throttle body. The snap clip did just that a while ago. It snapped off and the connector backs out a bit from time to time.
Also mine is a 96 4.0
Reading this thread got me thinking that I should replace my fan clutch. I put it on about 2 years ago. New from Rock Auto. But I don't remember which brand the box said. If it was unusually cheap or something I would have noted it.
It hardly ever comes on enough to make noise. And never...
