I had a similar issue on my 96. I cleaned out my nss and haven't had an issue since.

I ran my 4"+ish Lift with stock control arms. Shitty, but works.

yea it sits center, the coils have a slight bend to them but im not too worried. Going over speed bumps is a ton more cushioned.
