I've got a 96 with a AX15 and want to swap my AW4 w/T case from my 87 into it. What parts do I need and how involved is this swap.

I picked up this 96 last weekend for a new project. High miles a couple of dents but no rust and runs great. $700.00

I just picked up a 96 4.0. The check engine light is on and when I try to retrieve the codes by turning ignition on/off 3 times no codes come up. Am I doing something wrong?

I have an 87 xj with 79 F-250 axles under it with discs all around. I picked up a master cylinder out of a 95 zj to swap in. Thing is my proportion valve on my 87 has one extra line coming out the back and the 95 's doesn't. What do you do with the extra line?

I'm sure this is a stupid question. Is it possible to mount leaf springs backwards to gain more wheel base? I have RockKrawlers with 4.5" of lift and they measure from the back of the front eyelet to center of spring plate 22" and the rear measures 26".

Should I build my HP30 (shafts,gears,locker,steering) or build my hp44 (gears,locker,steering,brakes,mounting brackets)? The stock 44 has 30 spline shafts. Are they strong enough for 36"s? Could a HP30 be built strong enough for 36"s? Any help would be appreciated.

This is off an older Ford with 8 lugs and has full floating axle shafts and I was going to run it on my rig. But for some reason the diff cover doesn't match anything that I can recognize.

My A/C compressor is making a whining sound. Can I just get rid of it? Is it a vital part of the vehicle because I don't need a/c. Do they make a belt for XJ's without a/c?
