I'd assume the rubber on your motor mounts is old. FWIW I've been very happy with my brown dog mounts, easy to replace the rubber on them. As for header, I run a borla, Love it! Probably almost 10 years old now. And it's survived with my 4.6L stoker.

Ah, but therein lies the rub! The 8.8 has a limited slip whereas the D44 is open 3.54. I'd be gaining a traction aid.

What prices are stock XJ dana 44 axles going for now? I'm pushing numbers on regearing the 44 that has KJ discs on it versus regearing a (Free) 8.8 with 3.73 limited slip to 4.10. Thanks in advance!

Thanks guys! I was on the fence between 4.10s and 3.73s, And this pushed me to find some 4.10s for the 265/75R16 I'm running. 3.54s weren't deep enough for the five! FYI: I get about 18MPG with the 4.6l stroker, 3.54s & AX15.

John, Can you comment on how the 3.73, AX-15 combo is? How is it on the trails? Would you say it's ideal for a daily driver? What's your MPG's with that setup? Thanks!

I have the dynomax cat-back. It's great for the money, Got it on sale for $75. After 4 years the muffler has cracked it's case, Most likely do to not having one of the hangers setup right, So I'm going to try a magnaflow knock-off from "flea-bay". Just my .02

I just had the XJ aligned and thought that I would ask around if the numbers are in the right range. It drives fine, But would it help if the LCAs were longer? They are set at 16 1/8" It has 3 5/8" lift front and 3 3/4" rear. Castor is 5.82* Camber is -0.05* left and -0.19* right Toe is 0.05*...

Check your axle shaft U-joints, And when you replace them use real spicers.

Check over on jeepstrokers to make sure, But I don't think that cam will last. FWIW I built my stroker for $1500 including the machine shop work.

I'm selling a 2001 XJ that is stock except 31's and the rusty's AAL, coil and shocks kit. It does ride "firm" it would be better with better shocks, and some armor to weigh it down. It is IMHO about the cheapest route to get some lift tho. It is deffinataly not as posh of a ride as my DD with...
