Out of my low mileage 99. D30 shafts have newish (8k miles Spicer u-joints) 8.25 shafts have ZJ studs (bit longer than stock) bc I upgraded to discs. $20 for the 30s, $20 for the 8.25s.

I had a new shaft made and wanted a few opinions on the length. I took a few pics/measurements and think it is too short. There is about 3-3/8" of spline exposed out of 6" total. IMO, only about 1-1/2" of spline should be exposed for longevity. Thoughts on these pics?
