    Strange drag feeling on highway

Don't I accomplish the same thing by just turning the a/c off?

    Strange drag feeling on highway

I recently picked this one up and haven't had a chance to really get into it yet. No, I haven't done anything other than drive it down the road. The motor was taken out of a donor with 145k on it, but trans is stock and so has 200k on it. Perhaps they could have messed up the cps during install...

    Strange drag feeling on highway

I guess that could be a possibility. Any way to test?

    Strange drag feeling on highway

I've had CPS issues before, but i'm not sure this would be caused by CPS. It definitely feels like a physical drag and not a loss of power when this happens.

    Strange drag feeling on highway

Also, I only get about 15mpg, no matter if its city or hwy.

    Strange drag feeling on highway

99 XJ 4x4 Stock 200K on body I'm trying to determine if this is a a/c compressor going bad or something else. When I'm on a long highway drive, after about 20-30 minutes, i will intermittently get a drag or pull from something which feels like i'm quickly tapping and then letting off on the...

Cranks but won't start after running errands (multiple stops/starts)

Figured since it ran fine once started wasn't fuel or electrical. Went ahead and replaced crank sensor. Ran around today with zero issues. Thanks for the input.

Cranks but won't start after running errands (multiple stops/starts)

Thanks. I thought that issue was for post 99' vehicles? Also, wouldn't that cause other issues once it is running? Runs fine.

Cranks but won't start after running errands (multiple stops/starts)

1997 Cherokee (XJ, 4.0L, 4x4) 180K miles. I cannot figure this one out. Jeep always starts and runs great, except after I do a lot of stopping and starting due to running errands. After about the 4th or 5th place it will crank but doesn't want to actually start. I have to try/wait for about 10...

A Different Misfire Question: Specific Circumstances

Also, why would it take 8 seconds for the light to flash? Oh, and I noticed it only happens in closed loop.

A Different Misfire Question: Specific Circumstances

Oh, I also went ahead and started unplugging sensors to see what happens. With the tps the engine revs up and then goes back to idling poorly as it was. Unplug iac and no change. unplug cps and no change.

A Different Misfire Question: Specific Circumstances

gutted. However, the secondary 02 is just for emissions purposes and should not affect driveability. Also, as mentioned, i only get the flashing cel after continuous decelration/coasting for more than 8 seconds. I can literally count to 7 and give it gas and no flashing cel. All injectors are...

A Different Misfire Question: Specific Circumstances

Oh, I just replaced the plugs with basic NKG's and the 02 sensors are working per the mechanic but my cat is completely gone.

A Different Misfire Question: Specific Circumstances

Thanks for the info! I was going to check on the cam sensor and see if there is any play for starters. I didn't know 1 and 6 shared a coil and was wondering how the coils were distributed so that is very helpful, thanks. I will try to hit the jy this morning and see if there are any tps's I can...

A Different Misfire Question: Specific Circumstances

01 XJ 4.0 Auto 4x4 178k I have read countless misfire threads but none seem to address the situation I have: From start up rough idle, though it seems to get more rough as the vehicle warms up (it will actually move you). When in closed loop, if I allow the vehicle to decelerate while in...
