there was not enough room for a coilover mount and bump stop strike pad plus the drive shaft looked horrible offset that far over. I will probably go with the dom and just find someone to cut the seal step.
I picked up a 90 f350 kingpin and now have to turn it into 79 dimensions. I have already removed the drivers side axle tube. I noticed the inner most side of the tube is machined down to accept the seal. Does anyone know a place that sells replacement tubes I can cut down to the length I need.
i need a set of stock coils so i can weigh the rear end of my jeep to buy coilovers. they need to be the same springs and hopefully you know what year they are off of. i am willing to pay 20 bucks or you can let me use them for a week. thanks
1 is from a 99 xj 3.55 ratio 29 spline. the other is from a 2000 xj 3.55 ratio 29 spline. both are open differentials. the 2000 had the shock mounts cut off other than that both are complete and ready to bolt into your project.
150 o.b.o. each.
pm for more info
am i looking in the wrong direction. should i be looking more at the mechanical end like tranny internals it has mabye 70000 miles on it. my last one went to 220000 before the 1 to 2 upshift gave up.
the past couple weeks or so when i floor the jeep and it downshifts to 1 or 2 the rpm will climb up to 5200 then bounce off the limiter. to shift i have to let off the gas and it will upshift normally. it only seems to happen a WOT. I tested the solenoids all 13.1-13.3 ohms. tcu has power and a...
it is definitely the locker when it locks and unlocks it puls left hard and sounds like a hammer hitting the rear end. also the tires have less than 100 miles on them so there is no tread size difference
to start off for the past couple times i have drove the jeep i noticed the locker would lock and unlock going in a straight line on the road. the 8.8 is a 97 and it is a detroit ez locker in the carrier. so i took it apart to see what was wrong and found one of the side gear thrust washers had a...
this is what i usually do
1 turn the key foward, back, foward, back, foward and leave in this position. your ce light will flash codes
2 relive fuel pressure at the fuel rail and cycle the key back and forth. then re-check for fuel pressure
3 check for spark directly from the coil
