I have a '98 XJ 4.0L, AW4, NP231.
I have searched all over looking for answers with no luck, so now I'll ask.
About a week ago I noticed my speedometer and odometer quit working, and got a P0500 code. Speedometer and odometer will sometimes work, sometimes they wont. Figured my first step...
I moved to Springfield from the bay area in California in July, and since I have been here I have noticed quite a few lifted jeeps. Just curious if any guys from my area are on here. Seems like most of you are in the Illinois/Wisconsin/Indiana area.
So I am looking for parts for my XJ and searching on craigslist came up with lots of grand cherokees but no cherokees. So my question is, will the sway bar from a grand cherokee swap into a cherokee?
I just moved to missouri from california, and I need a sway bar to pass the vehicle inspection. Does anyone know where I can get a sway bar in the springfield area?
Well, I am leaving California to move to Missouri. I just wanted to say that it has been great meeting everyone on here and wheeling with you. I hope to see some of you at SierraFest in 2013, if the world doesn't end:fuse:!
I bought these springs a while back, was going to use them to make a bastard pack, but I don't have the time or the money to work on my jeep:tears:. Plus I am moving to Missouri in 3 weeks and I don't want to haul it out there with me. The guy I bought them from said they only had 40,000 miles...
So In July I am moving to Missouri and I don't think I will have the time or funds to get these parts on my jeep before I go. And I certainly don't feel like hauling them with me.

I have a 1998 XJ I6 AW4 231
Friday as I was leaving work my Dummie light came on(the one with the picture of the battery). So I figured on of my battery cables came loose. I pulled over and looked. All the cables were connected. Drove...
I'm looking for a write to swap zj disc brakes onto my dana 44. I have seen one here before but can't seem to find it now. Does anyone know of a good write up I can use?
Thanks, Kevin
Yesterday I change the fuel pump on my 98 xj I6. Before I changed it the tank had 1/4 tank of fuel left, and after I installed the new fuel pump and put the tank back under the jeep my fuel gauge read 3/8ths of a tank:confused:. I'm pretty sure I didn't just magically gain 2 more gallons of gas...
So it is decided, me and my family is going to be moving to Missouri:clap:. Just curious how many of you guys are in Missouri? I'm going to be moving to Springfield. Any good wheeling spots around Missouri?
So I noticed today a noise coming from the rear end and upon inspection I noticed there is dif fluid leaking from the pinion seal. I'm thinking that the noise has to be coming from the bearing? Correct?
I'm installing the cut out bushwacker flairs on my '98 XJ and it seems like the only way to get the rear ones to fit correctly is to cut through the pinch weld and then weld it back together. I don't want to cut through the pinch weld, and have been trying not to, but I see no other way. Has...
So the hack and tap I ordered from RE came in today:clap:, and I was going to install it tomorrrow. But I don't have the front drive shaft yet to use with it. So I'm planning to disconnect my front drive shaft and use it until I get another front shaft. My question is will my transfer case leak...
