Replaced the sensor..didn't really do much..I also threw a new radiator cap on.He's gonna drive it tommorow and see if there are any changes.I ordered a new thermostat because I suspect it's stuck open.It seems like it takes a while for the engine to warm up...heat in the cab was not as great as...
My son's Cherokee has been showing 100-150 on his temp. Guage ...I'm thinking the coolant temp sensor is bad.No check engine light, no loss of cabin heat , coolant is up to snuff and flowing.I did disconnect the sensor wire and clean the connector but no change. Is there anyway to test it or...
My kid was impressed...I told him I got the idea from the forum. I'm just glad it's stopping ok..he's it back to Umass /Amherst on Monday.Im having a hard time finding the relay, gonna stop by my parts store after work.
I did a complete brake job tonight..bled everything .Stops great..I pulled the relay and the light went out.Im trying to find a replacement now.Gonna get it inspected again in the morning...if a new relay doesn't solve it I'm gonna bring it to the dealer for a scan with the DRB III scanner.
I'm gonna pull the rear drums and check the sensors...I checked the fronts and they looked good.I haven't tried pulling the relay yet..I did call the Jeep dealer and I can get it scanned on Monday if I can't figure it out....this is turning into a huge pain in the ass...
My son is away at school and evidently has had the ABS light on for a bit...he says it stops fine but he failed his Inspection last week because of the light. He tried to have to light error read at Autozone but I guess the scanner wasn't equipped for that.He brought it back to the shop that...
Haha...thanks...the best part is one of the shops is run by my ex-father in law....I felt like a idiot that I couldn't figure this out.My son brought it to his shop because my exwife said that her Dad could fix it....long story short he replaced the negative battery cable and said it was fixed.I...
I followed your instructions to a T and I am happy to saw the XJ is up and running normally. There was quite a bit of corrosion on the fuse box after I popped the cover off. I think the most difficult part of the job was soldering in the new connector for the harness. He has been tooling around...
Looking for a 99 Cherokee fuse block..I have corrosion on mine. They lower connector on the bottom is junk also.I was having electrical issues and found it was bad.Im hoping to splice in the connector.Im in Cape Cod ..Massachusetts but would pay shipping for the parts. Thanks
He's had it for about 2 years ...thanks for the part #....I need to replace that connector too..it's all corroded..it looks like something got spilled down the dash. The connector looks fried..I'm gonna search for one tommorow..hopefully this nightmare will be over!
That was it..the left lower corner plug in had some wjhite powder around it.I pulled the connector and it was green and corroded inside.Im gonna have to find a new block and that connector that is corroded..is it a big job to change that out?
So I hooked up the battery and the friggin Jeep started right up and shut off ..so far no horn going off yet..I can't find any burnt wires ..I think I need someone more experienced in electrical to look at this nightmare.
Goes off constant..sat in the driveway all day..went off at 6am.Had to pop the hood and pull the battery cable..that's when I couldn't get it to shut off too.Im gonna leave the cable off till I can check out the steering column wires..My neighbors are a little pissed off
