When I turn off my 98, I hear a boiling sound. I don't know if it is the oil or if it's the radiator. You'd think you could tell. I've never heard this with any other car I have driven. Is it normal or should I have it adressed? Hanks for helping out.

If I were to swap my auto out for a stock manual out of another xj what would also have to be changed? Drive shaft, center council, etc. Also would I have to use a trans from another 98 or could it be 84-01?

My 98 is pretty much stock except for add one like a trans cooler. I drive to school and back every day and go through an 1/8 of a tank, which isn't terrible but when you factor in work and other stuff it's about 40 bucks a week. Is there anything cheap I can do to improve the mpg's?
