    Edit Post

I listed a thread in the NAC classifieds & the images I linked are huge. I resized them on the image host site, but I cannot edit the post. I would also like to add/edit information. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1112848 If it's easier, the thread can be closed/deleted, & I can...

Thought i'd share the new rig..

Think that might've been me. No write up, I just shared my experience. Didn't get a picture of the rubber block modification, but I had an extra I was able to dissect. The terminal circled is only a mounting support. Doesn't have a wire connected to it. The ground goes straight through...

    D30 WJ Brakes Steering Setup?

I really think you need to do some research on your own, rather than keep asking questions that have been covered a thousand times over. Not to be a dick, but by some of your recent posts, you seem super anxious to build up the jeep & just want to throw parts at it without some knowledge first...

231 T-case rear output yoke play (with SYE)

Thanks for the suggestions/ideas guys. I did a bit more research & there's supposed to be a rubber star washer on the end of the output shaft, like this... Well, with the yoke unbolted, & marked, I pulled it off & there was nothing there. Don't know if it was never installed, disintegrated...

231 T-case rear output yoke play (with SYE)

Unknown SYE (not hack & tap) with double cardan CV driveshaft. I have been noticing more vibes & overall noise over the past year or so, & in the 9 years I've owned it, have never been able to go above 75 on the highway (no desire to be up in those speeds anyways, so I didnt care). Crawled...

My solution to a broken rear axle shock stud...

Thanks. I am concerned about the longevity of the bushing/shock mounted in this orientation, but I'm hoping it won't be a problem. I figured with the upper mount in the original position, so as the suspension cycles, the upper will still let the shock pivot accordingly... :dunno: I was going...

My solution to a broken rear axle shock stud...

So, got around to installing the set of Bilstein 5100's I've had for over a year. Bought from a forum user who had them for a ZJ w/4.5" lift, new & never installed. The collapsed/extended measurements fit what I needed, & was a deal I couldn't pass up. I wanted to overhaul the rear...

    Roof Light Wiring Help

Keep the 30A fuse off the battery, with 10 gauge wire, & make the "red square" a fuse block. Fuse each 3 circuits with 10A fuse, & use 14 gauge to the lights/switch. 2 x 55w = 110/13.5 = ~8 amps. No need to go with 15A. The fuse in this application is to protect the wire. The lights...

    NAC 'Spotted' Thread

I also spotted 1 of the red ones, pre-97 parked near the entrance, roof rack with a couple fogs on it. Later on a 2 door blue 97+ caked in mud, at the store at the entrance. Few vendor XJs. Leaving the meet, squeezed behind a white pre-97, with a trailer. Also spotted the Truck Toyz snazzy...

Buying a used engine... Need some advice

Yup. Among the reasons why I'm attracted to this. Although I misunderstood some things, I'm going to take my chances & make the purchase. $1500 of work was done to the CAR (wheel bearings, brakes, THIS 60k engine install, & LSD trans swap as well). The engine has not had any work done to...

Buying a used engine... Need some advice

I checked with local yards that'll provide a warranty with the engine, but they want $600-800 for just the engine. I've only checked with a couple yards, and I'd feel better getting a warranty, but this option seems better. Lower mileage + factory LSD equipped trans + accessories (alternator...

Buying a used engine... Need some advice

Got an '03 Mazda Protege5 in need of some mild engine work. Tearing into it is not an option, as it's a daily commuter. So I've been trying to find a used engine to buy, rebuild, & swap into the car. The engine is a 4 Cylinder, 2.0L DOHC. I found one that not only fits my criteria, but...

    "The Walking Dead" on AMC

SPOILER ALERT!! For those who haven't seen the episode, look away! I like watching Talking Dead afterwards, they touch on every little symbol/meaning, & explain some things that during the episode, I'm wondering "wait... what?" Yea, Morgan's supposed to be unhinged. Rick lost his best friend...

    AW4 "performance" options

Everything you ever wanted to know about the AW4 98+ has an Input Speed Sensor & different Output Speed Sensor. Like I said, the reprogramming kit has nothing to do with the TCU or ECM. Hard parts & slight modification, no "computer stuff". http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1088057...

    AW4 "performance" options

The reprogramming kit actually doesn't do anything with computers. It provides valve body internals to improve shift firmness, clutch plate durability, & locks 1st gear when in 1-2 position. The quicker/firmer shifts gives the AW4 a bit more performance. The manual shift controller gives the...

    AW4 "performance" options

I see. Thanks for the info & prices. The $70 shift kit is for reduce/correct/prevent shifting issues. The reprogramming kit has everything the shift kit has, plus performance enhancing components. From TransGo's FAQ...
