PB Blaster, one of the best penetrating oils. Available around here at most places, Walmart, Tractor Supply, most auto parts stores. Aero Kroil is really good too.

Go to www.bobistheoilguy.com and search the Used Oil Analysis forum for 4.0 Jeep. You will find the wear numbers (metal in the oil worn from the engine's parts) are typically lower for 40 weights. You can find my UOA's on there under the same username, and my results will confirm this as well.
I have the 3/8" and 1/2" click-type craftsman, had them about five years and the cheap plastic handles where the torque settings are adjusted are starting to wear out. I do a lot of wrenching, so for most folks maybe they would last longer, but I can't endorse them at this point.

Also keep in mind that Mobil 1 is one of the thinnest 30 weights on the market. Mobil 1 5w-40 is a better choice for the 4.0 IMHO, that's what I'm running this summer.
Your best best is to either go to the dealer or buy a kit with all of the seals. You will need a new oil slinger which is a dealer item. To remove the old oil slinger hit it on the portion that sits snug to the shaft parallel to the shaft with a cold chisel. That will destroy the oil slinger...
