HDO middle frame stiffeners
stock rockers cut out and replaced with 3/16" 2x6 box steel
front HD bumper tie ins but currently no bumper lol....ready for any winch style...
I've got 4 sets of HF impacts (metric and SAE, deep and shallow). The holders they come on are junk plastic where the 1/2 nipple breaks off anytime you pull a socket off. Anybody got rec's for a good quality affordable rail set? I prefer a handled stick type so I can just grab it and go.
Do i still need a winch? I've used it maybe twice in the last 5 years.
Wanting to sell the tnt bumper of awesomeness and move to a stubby. I've always eyed the ors fab stubby bumper for mounting winch sans solenoid behind. Bumper alone would be $300 and that's without having front frame horns...
I don't really want to but it looks like I've either got a bad head or bad motor in my mazda dd. The jeep is a great toy but it's not as realistic a dd for toting around two kiddos as say something on 3" and 31's. The money from selling the jeep could pay for fixing the mazda and maybe set aside...

So I've been looking building a mid 3-link like a few others have done and particularly like the simple look that 2doorxj did on his in the 44's and a 3 link thread.
I've got HDO frame stiffeners and was looking at the heavy duty link mount for the drivers side and the dual frame link mount...
If, for whatever reason, I needed to just run stubs: is it okay to run a stub with a u-joint in it? Or should it be just the bare stub? I can see the u joint flopping around I suppose and causing a lot of noise and eventually wrecking the joint/possibly elongating the holes. But I didn't know...
