Remove that bump pad off the spring plate to start with... save for the shocks first before you add bumps. Tune a set of bypass's. and you might have to add an inch to 2 inches of something inbetween the factory bump and "framerail"... actually, I am 100 percent sure your shocks will bottom out...
I would'nt run em if they were giv'in to me.. Terrible results from everything ive seen.. Sorry foa.. I dont bash much but its not worth the $200 difference with something as important as shocks...
FOX!
Single shock?
Go with a fox 2.5 intenal bypass... Or you might be able to find some "revolution" shocks lying around that never went on a pipe dream project that someone bought from another pipe dreamer..
O and bigger could be better... 3.0 Mabey an old school compression clicker threaded...
What about good shocks with built in bumps set up correctly and run the stock bump pads?
Did you total the jeep driving home wasted from a heavy metal concert?:greensmok
Dont bend a rim....
looks good, so dont go slit your wrists over this post.
Ive built many a item where there is lil to none = self clearancing tolerances with wheels... It happens.. :attom:
Who built the one in the second pic?
They actaully did a really nice job... We can dramaranger it and talk about how they put too much heat into the part... lol...
Haha Its definatly well done, I think my jaw hit the keyboard when I saw it.
Any other pics of this particular truck?
Buy that ranger...
I know people who have bought xj's and wish they would of bought a ranger cause they are super easy to build and parts are super plentiful...
You will go faster for less dollars hands down...
Anyone know whats up with those Subcultural Girls ?
lol right on warwagon...
14 bolt really? I wize person once said (who had built a dana 60 for a "trophy turck/ truggy") "The heavier the rearend the faster it will fall in the whoops..."
Well what he meant was "whoops, I have no XXXXing clue what im doing"
leave it in the suburban and build an 8.8 for budget or a 9...
You really answered all your own questions.
But you are correct In the fact that (are you thinking what im thinking?)
That the shock would be fully utilized at the centerline of the axel and as close to the center of the wheel as physically possible....
But then you have coil springs and...
2 hits of mitsubishi extasy: $40
1/8 of weed $60
30 pak of budlight: $18.99
Camel lights: $5.99
24 pk of water: $5.99
trip to octoillo wells no creaking frame: Priceless
So run 3" bumps? Like a 4 inch with a 1" spacer? I think I made one of those one time.
is that what you run, Crazy?
JK.
lol
Nice vid btw. Someone I know bought an xj because of your vid. lol pretty cool huh?
