Hey guys, I have a XJ 96 2 door 4x4 and am looking for models that have like parts. I want to get a couple of spare rigs so I can build a decent one back. What year models and styles fit? I am not clear on the years or if models make a difference. So please help if you can.

I have a 96 XJ stock under the hood. I have the well known leaking transmission lines. I want to do 3 things at the same time so any ideas are welcome. I want to add a
trans cooler (live in Texas!), change to electric fan (push or pull?) and replace the leaking lines. So do I use a push or pull...
OK well thanks to the few that actually talked tach and not bashed everyone else. My rear is out of a Ford Explorer 1998 model and it is an 8.8 which in this case is shorter than the original and I have the spacers on to gain the lost little bit. My question as basically does the FORD 8.8 LS...
Retard, now that is funny. Thanks for the vote on my mind condition! I am learning but I am not sure that a LS actually sends power to the traction wheel. I have to plan for the front end too and TrueTrac seems to be the best price. Thoughts?
What do you have in the front end? The 8.8 in the rear is from a Ford and for sure is not stock. It has the ABS connector on the top. I guess I really just don't understand LS as I have watched some Eaton videos on YouTube and they show the LS not pulling up the hill. I guess I will have to...
I bought a 96 XJ that the prior owner installed a Ford 8.8 rear end. So what I see and read is that it is a LS but will not lock totally. So why go to all of that trouble instead of putting in a "locker"? It is stock in the front end and I want to make it the best I can of course not the most...
OK now I have changed the brakes to match the up for and down tab. Now when I hit the brakes I get a double pop with a fraction of a second delay. I suspect the pads popping 1 2 but it seems to be only on the left side. I looked and the pads look right so now what? There seems to be a 1/16...
What goes where on a Ford 8.8 rear end? The pads have been taken off of the rear end that I have and I have a new set but how do they go? There is a double fork on one end and a single tab on the other. They do say OR/IL or OL/IR which I am guessing means in and out right and left but they...
So do you think I can change the screw end out with the RE 3/4 and it work?
40 bucks v 200 bucks?
Thanks again dudes for the help as I hated to get one that had been modified but it was a steal. I would have rather done the mods myself so I would know but ........
Also I made a post about...
Here is my situation now.
I am too dumb to tell what is stock and not.
Sorry I need to read how to post

I have purchased a fairly modified 1996 2 door XJ with 4x4 auto 6Cyl.
I want to have a spare for parts although mine has had the 8.8 swap done. What years of XJ will parts swap or at least be useful? I want to be able to use some of the interior stuff like stearing colum and maybe seats but...
Thanks man that makes sense. I guess it is the stock bracket and bar but it seems centered. I guess if I want to play, I better go with the HD trackbar!
Thanks again for the help. I am coming along.
I have a 1996 XJ with a 4 inch lift. The coil spring rubs the trac bar bracket on the driver's side. It looks like a stock bracket but I am new to this. The bracket seems to have been made with a little out type of buble for lack of a better term. I ordered a RE trac bracket but the end of...
