I'm doing mine tomorrow and following this write-up. Just one question- so do you use just the RTV sealant or you use a gasket and the sealant (for the diff cover)?
Is there any easy to moderate trails in or close to Warner Springs. I've heard of the Los Coyotes "Hot Dog Trail" but I don't want any part of that- too crazy.
I'm actually looking for a fullsize four door truck -- I have two kids and one on the way so need lots of room. I'm lookin at the doublecab tundras, F150's and Silverados in the 12-15k range.
I might be able to be persuaded with the ram 4x4. AJ - can you send me some pics. I'll pm you my email.
I had the death wobble taken care of with a new track bar but just got left balljoints and tie rod end replaced. On the way home it was wobbling like hell. It has not been aligned yet since the work. Thats the only thing I can think of.
Gunna have to do the L tie rod too. Ball joints and tie rod are F'ed on the left side. I just bought FEQ ones for both. I saw the Moog ones but they were a lot more so I what the hell, I went cheap. I think I may just mess with the drivers side for now. Looks like a barrel of fun
The ball joints are shot on my 95 XJ. Is there a preferred brand that handles off-road abuse better? Also, w/ the proper tools/press how long does this take?
