Try that. When I put my RE kit on, I followed his directions and 6 months later I still haven't had it "professionally aligned." My steering wheel is a tiny bit off and it tracks pretty darn straight, pulls a bit to the right after about 10-15 secs if...
My set-up: '96 XJ Country, RE 4.5 Lift with 32x11.5x15 BFG A/Ts on stock 15x7 inch wheels, stock flares, no trimming. I want to upgrade my wheels so I'm not constantly rubbing my LCAs while I'm turning. I'm not doing a huge amount of wheeling right now as I originally bought the rig for...
I just lifted using an RE 4.5 " kit and went with the OME steering stabilizer and I like it so far. Helps with the bumpsteer, now that it rides stiffer. To bad 4WheelParts conned me into ProCrap ES3000s.

I'd recommend tie rod pullers and pitman pullers, that kind of stuff over a pickle fork... My pitman/draglink was connected so tight there was no way in hell I could do it w/o a puller... A puller is also helpful to get the pressed lower swaybar bracket bolts out... if you use the puller on...
First off, check RE's website for instructions. They give reasonably detailed instructions. Do a search on NAXJA type: RE 6130 or something like that and look at the appropriate posts that come up. Yucca-Man has a good write-up as well: http://www.yuccaman.com/jeep/45lift.html. And buy two...
Be careful you don't flare your bolt though and you're not able to get the nut back on, like when my little brother was banging with a sledge. I would SERIOUSLY recommend you find a tie-rod puller.

Yeah, coil compressors help quite a bit. I'd also recommend a "front end kit". I rented one from the local auto parts store for $6 a day, it has pullers for the pitman arm/arm link ball joint and other steering joints. It's a lot more effective that a pickle fork, and you're a lot less likely...
The RE trackbar my kit came with, not the heavy duty one, just the basic one, says to torque the upper mount to 155 #/ft, lower to 55 #/ft. I torqued the control arms to 100 or so. I'm ordering a factory service manual off of eBay right now, that's your best bet to be sure.

So I noticed that my stock front brake lines had small brass washers on either side of the end that connects to the brake that the bolt passes through. The RE stainless steel lines that came with my 4.5 inch kit don't have these washers. Has anybody had problems with their brakes leaking? Or...
