Ok I fixed the Jeep. I started over from scratch and was checking voltage in the PDC and noticed that the fuel pump fuse was blown. I swapped it out and just for S&G I decided to see if it made and difference. What do you know but it is good now. It starts and runs fine. At first the CEL was on...
Ok I completely rewired all the connections at the battery, Had the battery tested and still the same problem exists . The engine will not start at all. I am going to try a junk yard pcm to see if is something else.:tears:
No battery has been hooked up correctly since I have owned it. I might go pick up some of the marine style terminals and copper lugs tomorrow. Could a bad battery cause this issue? My battery seems to drain pretty quick. Thanks for the input.
I used the enamel coated terminals from Oreilly Auto with the screw down connection where the wire gets smushed down. And by backwards do you mean positive to negative or negative first then positive? I ask because I read about power surges from hooking positive up second.
I was changing out my battery terminals and when I went to start it it all went south. I turned the key to the on position and the fuel pump turned on like normal but also the electric fan started turning on and off, and the a/c compressor clutch started clicking on and off, also the check...
I haven't ever noticed any major issues when I start it. It doesn't run silky smooth like my wifes honda but from what I hear I don't think it ever will. I was thinking about an e-fan timer also. What bothers me too is my CEL never comes on.
In my journey to get my misfire codes in my 2001 to go away I have really started to hate it. I never notice a problem with the way it runs or drives but when I check for any codes the 303 and 306 are always there. I have already eliminated coilrail, plugs and fuel supply. I am really wondering...
Ok I just put my fuel pump back in after replacing both strainers and the fuel filter/regulator. Now my pressure is perfect and holding with the key off. But at first it idled perfect then dropped way down and started acting like it wanted to kill. I checked for a vacuum leak and everything...
I was going to change both strainers and the filter/regulator on top and then see if my pressure is correct before I change the pump itself. I am correct in thinking that clogged filters can drop the pressure also? I would rather put a bosch pump back in it and changing it out separate is alot...
I have been messing around with a misfire issue. I put a fuel pressure gauge on it and my pressure was low and not holding once the engine was killed. I have already replaced the coil pack, spark plugs (before checking fuel pressure), I also pulled the fuel rail to make sure none of my injectors...
I dropped the tank and removed the fuel pump. Both strainers are filthy and the inside of the tank is also dirty. Anyway I was messing around with the lovely all-in-one fuel filter/regulator/check valve and I noticed that if I squirt degreaser in the output that it freely flows out of the input...
I have searched and searched for someone that has installed the Aurora lights in a 97-01 Cherokee and haven't found anybody. I just scored some at the pull-a-part and would love to know if I am going to have any problems.
