    its typically a 15-20% increase in alternator rpm which is right around 2200 rpm at jeep idle so at idle it will be a minimal increase in speed but pull it toward the peak generating of the alt.

    typically if there is no spark you will smell fuel, telling you the cps is telling the injectors to fire, you can check spark by getting a screwdriver in the boot of the plugwire and holding it near a grounded point while someone cranks
