A couple of guys that i work with wheel their broncos there and dont have permits and have never had a problem. Here is the video i posted a while back of a tracker they came across while wheeling up there:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3JzZi44V5g
I ran 32s with stock gearing for about a year. On the road, as long as you keep it in Drive(3) it is not to horrible. However you will only get about 13 mpg and you can pretty much forget about wheeling.
i had the same problem and there was a piece of wire about 15" behind the drivers side headlight that rubbed raw and caused it to short out every time it touched something.
I am running 33X12.50 TSLs on 4" BS and love the ride but the outer lugs rub on the LCAs so I am planning on going to 10.50s.( i know you already made up your mind, just though i'd put in my .02)
You are all right about it being a mud truck. I have seen him at a couple of mud bogs and he does really well.
The guys that i work with said that he was having a hard time keeping it in 4WD while he was climbing the rocks and he didnt want to air down his tires.
A couple of guys that i work with went whelin with there broncos a couple of weeks ago in Mt. Carmel and they came across this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3JzZi44V5g
