This was my daily driver until December of last year when i registered my volkswagen, here is a good overall description of the jeep.
4.0L inline six cylinder. approx 45,000 miles(odometer reads over 235,000. Second engine) Installed myself after a complete reseal, de-greasing, priming and...
Lived up north in CT, PA, or NJ my whole life and have done nothing but rock crawling for 3 years. My first time out wheelin down here in good ol' Florida and i hydrolocked my enging and put 2 connecting rods through the block! Need another 4.0l from a 94' to 99', anyone got one here there...
Anyone have any recomended websites or companies that carry full replacement floor pans? My fronts are in really good shape but from the lift gate up to where the factory jack is stored needs to be replaced.
94', 2 door, 5spd, 3.07's, 33x12.50 retreads, 4.0 all stock, 4.5" of lift, (way to many spare parts on board = alot of extra weight)
9-10mpg in the city
17mpg at best on the highway
Same here, im trying to move it for a friend. No it was a 2 wheel drive truck and he can't find a front so he is giving up on that axle. I think he was asking $250 because thats what it cost him at the junkyard for it but he says its complete, drums and all.
So i know i have 3.07 gears in my 94' with 8.25/D30. In my XJ book it says that certain years and packages were equipped with 4.10's. What am i more likely to find that gear ratio in, a 4 banger with an auto or manual trans or a 6 cylinder with the tow package? Also what is the likely hood of...
Anyone in need of a rear full floating dana 60? Its out of a 2 wheel drive F-250 with the straight 6. Its technically not out of the truck yet but im just wondering if anyone is interested?
See, that was exactly my thoughts! The other day when i spent all day in the rocks in 4lo i was just thinking about what was going on inside the diff's as my foot would randomly cause the jeep to buck cause its just plain hard sometimes to keep my foot steady! Its those spider gears and teeth on...
well 4.10's and 33's with an AX-15 for me! I know i here 4.56's all the time but with me driving 479 miles back and forth to CT every 6 weeks, i rather maintain some highway driveability so i figured 4.10's but then again i dont know my axle ratio to begin with.
All right then as long as you guys think the 30 and 8.25 will sufice. I do wonder though if i gear down and add a dual transfer case will it affect axle strength? IMO i think it will, say i did the 231 to 300 doubler and 4.10 gears than wouldnt it be adding alot more torsional load to an axle...
Just a quick question, Ford 9" and HP44 or Waggy LP44 and rear 44 or 20???
I have either option, it is going on a DD that is about 70/30 for street and trail.
Ive read the write ups on both axles and understand the amount of work involved.
I am running 33's and may... may!!! run a 35 someday but...
So why do i get oil in my air box if the front only breathes in fresh air? theats why i replaced it, i figured oil should not be coming out of it. Technically that means i could just put one of those mini breathers on that i have laying around.
Umm so i am sort of confused, are both CCV valves because i replaced both the front and the rear with an orfice thing from advanced(came up as elbow adapter with orfice tube) and ever since oil has been spitting out of my dip stick tube and from the fill cap on the valve cover like it is...
I noticed on my way back to PA from CT that i developed an oil leak about 3 weeks ago. I lost 1 quart of oil on my 8 hour trip. I recently(as in last saturday) did an oil change and discovered that i had over tightened my oil filter. I believed that this was the problem and it was solved. Today...
Yes there bushing manufacturer DAYSTAR had a bad batch and a bad mold on a run. Rough Country said they had recalled all that they new of but some got buy. Daystar makes bushing for rough country, rancho, super lift, etc... soo they told me all of them had to be recalled. I got a full...
So anyone figure out how to frankenstine a dana 20 out of a CJ to a 94' XJ AX15? We thought we had 3 dana 300's which turned out to be 1 300 and 2 dana 20's, bummer, our front dana 60 also turned out to be a 44 with what lookes to be 60 outers(8 lug hubs). We are trying here to have a twin stick...
