    Hummm in the front end

I've got a similar noise to this description as well...checked out everything except have the same "rock" to the slip joint in the front DS. Also, the oscillation seems to quiet when placed into 4wd making me think it is something driveline related. Thought I would add to the discussion in...

New Jersey Lift Laws new website

I'm slightly confused...I have what I believe to be a lifted 98 Classic on 31's. I measured and the door sill height is only at a little over 21". Would I need to look into specialty inspection or can I just roll through a regular state station (probably Newton in Sussex Co.)? Also pretty...

    HID installation photos anyone?

Good morning all, I have been contemplating doing a hid retrofit or carefully chosen e-code hid combination but have been hemming and hawing on the decision due to lack of locations to mount the ballasts. Does anyone have any or can take any photos of how and where they mounted their ballasts...

    Headlight Harness - another option - $69 - 12G wire

From what I have heard and read about the eautoparts harness, I understand that the wiring is 14 or 16g...is this true? I also understand that any upgraded harness would be of benefit to the XJ, but I also figure bigger gauge (to a point) is better. I would by all means prefer to support the...

    Headlight Harness - another option - $69 - 12G wire

What are the specs on the wiring for the BigOffroad harness? They need to beef up their description, it's a little vague. Good info though!

which mt bike should i go with!?

The scalpel mentioned above is s good deal if everything is in working order. Those Lefty forks were quite advanced when they came out and worked nicely. Very stiff laterally, and torsionally with needle bearings supporting the movement instead of just bushings. The frame is also a nice piece...

    Headlight Harness - another option - $69 - 12G wire

As mentioned above, found the following harness available from a website. I think it comes out to $74 shipped, but looks like a nice piece. Made from 12G wire, and custom fit for H4 9003 type connectors as well as others. I was thinking about buying one and thought I would pass on the info...

which mt bike should i go with!?

Having worked at a high end MTB shop, we used to recommend a hardtail when shopping with less then $1000. IIRC Cannondale used to offer a lifetime warrantied frame USA built with a lot of R&D into it for about 500. Anything else is primarily built overseas, by one of only a few manufacturers...

    $7 rocklights installed with pics!

I have a pair of Hella 500 fogs on the front bumper for seeing what's coming and the beam pattern is due to the fact that these are fogs also (wide pattern, little vertical spread). This was a first attempt, I may switch over to a full-on flood utility light like some are running, but for now...

    bike rack recommendations?

There are companies that make a 20mm adapter to fit into the Yakima and Thule fork mount racks. I worked at a high end MTB shob for years and we fit many of those on some serious downhill rigs with no probs.

    $7 rocklights installed with pics!

Just remounted them with 1-1/2 corner brace brackets from Walmart. I'll snap some shots tonight of the effect on beam spread. Thanks for the advice on moving them outward, they should clear the crossmember no problem now. The NAXJA community comes through again!

    $7 rocklights installed with pics!

Glad it helped someone, I'll keep my eyes peeled for any other bargains on lights and post them here. Thanks for the advice, I am working on aim right now, and may need to fab a bracket to bump them out a little after all. I was able to get the beam just inline with the front of the tires as...

$7 dollar special from Amazon! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000HTWNOA Mounted to the front crossmember, riveted on and wired. Lit at night. Focused primarily in a long beam, but pretty good spread overall. I am pleased. Wanted to pass the link on, I picked up two pairs...might use the...
