i have a 8.8 with the drum brakes. can i swap all the disc brakes parts onto the drum brake axel?

hp dana 30 and 8.8 4.88s gears,master instal kits,low ratio carrie for the 30 and open 31spl carrie for the 8.8. shipped to 21811.

im putting a sye into my np231. and i lost the directions on how to install it. does anyone know what the torque specs are for the bolts that hold the two halfs of the case together? and also the yoke nuts?

Does anybody know the timken carrier bearing and race numbers for the dana 44?

i have a 87 xj with a np231 t case. and im trying to find a sye kit for it like the advance adaptors one. but it says its only for 88 and newer xjs. whats the differnts between the 87 t case and 88 and newer t case? is there away i can make it work with the 87?

so all i really got do is just swap the head and intake from the 87 onto the 01?

I have a 1987 xj that has 217 thousand miles and the motor is starting to knock a little bit. And i have a whole drive train out of a wrecked 2001 xj. Is it possible to swap everything like the transmission, transfer Case and enegine into the 87?

So is there any differents between that axel and one that came out of a 4.0 xj? Is the one from the 2.8 any weaker than the other hp 30s?

I was just trying to figure out what year xj it came from. Because where the axel shaft comes out of the axel tube it dosnt look the same as my dana hp30. It has a rubber covering like a cv joint. Not like this one in the pic. Did some of the 30s have rubber covering?

I got a free hp dana 30 out of a jeep. But i dont know which jeep it came out of. I have the little tag off of the diff cover. Is there somewhere i could look up the numbers for it? The tag number is 8953002092 3.73 41-11
