Why Jiffy Lube will never have my business again...

I was busy once when the time came and sent my wife to Jiffy Lube to get the oil changed in the Jeep. I gave her really specific instructions regarding getting extras done. Things were fine until the next time I went to change the oil myself. I found that one side of the oil filter was caved...

Any Beretta fans in the house?

Besides, the point is not to match the weapon you are up against, but to have superior firepower. If the bad man has a knife, I want a gun.

I'm a CJ owner going to XJ or ZJ. Why an XJ?

I think you will be much happier towing a pop-up with the XJ, I have heard many people say that they don't like the rear coils in the ZJ for towing.

The Deal with all these "Retro" New Vehicles?

I don't have a problem with {Insert car maker here} bringing back the name of some classic automobile as long as it doesn't suck. We all remember the Nova II, though, right? That sort of crap sickens me.

    New project

I had low oil pressure in my 4.0 and pulled the pan to find one of the bolts that holds the oil pump to the block in the bottom of the pan. The pump was not lined up with the passage on the block. It happens.

Big question of the day! Which axle?

I would try to get a Toyota rear. I think the 2wd V6 Taco has a 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern already and disks (I might be wrong on the disks). Good clearance, good strength, comparable to a D44. Removable third member for easy gearing changes. Granted, this would require approximately the same...

    BF Goodrich tire comparisons....

I know that people commonly get 50k miles on BFG ATs, but I felt you needed another vote for the TruXus MTs. I have put 35K miles on mine and they have been great at everything I have thrown at them: rocks, mud, snow, dry pavement, wet pavement, you name it. They are really a great all around...

    Aux Fan Stays On

Okay, after not finding anything in a search, I need some help here. My auxiliary fan has started staying on after I shut the Jeep down. This occurs intermittently. The vehicle is a 1995 XJ with the 4.0. I know some vehicles do this just as a matter of course, but I had never noticed my XJ...

    Who a REAL "STAR" is....

It is nice to see someone in that position that is that down-to-earth. Would that all celebrities were that grateful and humble.

    Hummer BS

I have to admit, props to them for wheeling those gargantuan marshmallows. I would be hard pressed to risk $50k for such gutless wheeling. hasta

    HANDGUNS for self defense...

Since this is impossible, I would feel safer that since they will have handguns, I get to have one, too.

    Crooked Lift??

Another RE Superflex 3.5" that sits an inch higher on the passenger side. I don't give a rat's, though. My jeep looks like crap anyway, but it performs fine, so I don't mind.

how long of a control arm ?

This is a very loaded question that depends on the height of your lift and the desired pinion angle. What are you working with?
  16. M

    Vibration

Look at your angles on the rear driveshaft. For a double cardon type setup, the pinion needs to point about two degrees below the output of the transfercase. For a single cardon type setup, it needs to be parallel with the output of the transfercase (i.e. the same angle). Good luck.

My condolences and prayers for the victims and their families.

    Help with tire size.

I did this lift and had to do SYE, shaft, and shims to get rid of the bad vibes. This on a '95 with NP231 and 8.25. I run 31x10.5 TrXus MTs on 4" BS wheels and had to trim a bit o' plastic from the bottom rear of the front wheel openings.

    Help with tire size.

The short answer is: NO. The long answer: With some fender trimming and bumpstopping and steering adjustments, this is possible.

    What's your favorite movie?
