A Rubicon Express customer testimonial ...

Sense of entitlement? I want nothing. Whining? I'm informing, not whining. They didn't have to offer me even one coil, but they did, and marked their offer with concerns. I don't want an offer with a "but", I want a complete offer or no offer at all. Even if I got a free set of coils, which I...

That's the last wrap of the coil, not a pebble. And the retainer's over the spring, not under. How the hell would the coil even sit if it was on top of the retainer? The coil shifts around now that it's broken, and on lunch I noticed it's shifted its way clockwise so the break is now separated...

A Rubicon Express customer testimonial ...

The point of online forums is to share experiences, positive or negative. My experience has been shared. Some agree, some don't, and others don't even get the point. This is what I expected, and the plan has always been to get Rough Country springs at vendor cost and move on. That hasn't...

A Rubicon Express customer testimonial ...

I want them to tell me they'll look into it. I'd LIKE to know when they have looked into it, and I'd LIKE to see a bulletin in six months that says their springs, shocks, something, are new and improved. For them to immediately address the same condition in both cases tells me that they know of...

You must have missed the part where I never asked for one, let alone two, springs until he offered one but was "concerned." That's my core issue with RE - concerns, no action.

A Rubicon Express customer testimonial ...

That's my point. If you're so concerned you'd warranty them as a set. If you're only giving me one spring, then your "concern" about the Jeep's camber sounds more like a sales pitch for spring number 2.

The shocks were booted. Some say this was my problem ... who knows. I'll gladly buy from RE again if they start making a better product that stands up to the conditions where I live. Until then, there's plenty of other shops around.

A Rubicon Express customer testimonial ...

That's what I think customer service is, and kudos to them for that. I've already said that I see his point - one broke, replace one. I get that. Move on. I don't want one spring, I don't want two springs, I want him to address his "concerns." I was already pissed that I was asked about road...

A Rubicon Express customer testimonial ...

I went in with no expectations of getting anything. My original e-mail never asked for a replacement, only voiced my concerns that a coil spring broke on a highway-rider and that this was the second product that's failed on the Jeep. I did expect some approximation of "customer service"...

I don't care if they give me one, two, or twelve springs at this point. I'm not really interested in putting anymore RE products on my Jeep. Plenty of people have had positive encounters with their products - I haven't, so that's that. Time to try something different. I personally think a new...

A Rubicon Express customer testimonial ...

The shocks were a year old when they started to leak, and after 18 months the shock in question would no longer compress. I actually ran on three shocks for a while because it was ten times smoother. I can honestly see it from both sides - one spring broke, so replace one spring. But from my...

During our initial phone conversation, he said "Yeah it's definitely not normal, but we've seen it happen a few times." So apparently this isn't the first time a coil spring has broken in half ...

I'm friends with a Rough Country vendor who's already offered to get me a set at his cost. RE offered to prorate me the second spring for $50, but I'd rather take my money elsewhere.

A Rubicon Express customer testimonial ...

Hey gang. I haven't been around the forum in some time, but I thought this warranted a comeback. After all - isn't this what public forums are for? I shared my experience on my local forum, and the consensus there was: take it to NAXJA. Long story short - Rubicon Express won't ever get another...

    31x10.5s on stock XJ wheels

I second the RE superflex w/ full leaf packs. That's what I'm running with 31s, and I have no complaints. None. As for the shocks, I went w/ the RE MONOtubes, and they're a-okay.

    XJ 95 Oil Filter equavalent

I use Fram's Tough Guard Light-Duty Truck filter. I get too pissed off to use anything but Fram, who has the handy no-slip grip.

    Ever see this lift

Rubicon Express sells pretty complete kits. The only thing that would make that one better is full leaf packs, but the AAL should be fine. You'll still need shocks and a t-case drop or SYE.

THE absolute BEST overall setup. (70% Road and 30% Off-road)

Oh I agree. One of these days I'll get myself in a position where I know a locker would solve all my problems, and that'll be the day I decide to buy one. :dunce: PS - Tupton, was it you in that one video that said "I need a locker, damnit!"?

    Ever see this lift

I considered that lift for a while, and figured I could just run up there and pick it up as its right here in WV. But then I realized it was Rough Country, and that w/ full packs I was lookin at $500. Just save up for a Rubicon Express 3.5" lift. You'll get a better ride, better quality...
