Are they a good shop? I need to get a front driveline that I am using with a H&T SYE shortened for my XJ and was wondering if Yarman's is good or if there is a better shop in Lancaster or the Bakersfield area (same drive either way).
Thanks!
I am looking for a driveline shop in the area to shorten a stock front drive shaft. It's either this or this and ditching the h&t sye for a brand new sye. I'd rather not do that till I'm ready for a 2lo kit at the same time.
Thanks
I'm helping plan a scout jeep trip this summer and looking for suggestions for a 4-5 day trip.
The xj's will probably be on 3-4" lifts and 30-31 tires with moderate armor.
Any suggestions are welcome. Rubicon would be awesome but all drivers have agreed that we would be two years away at...
I've read a lot of threads that people want to try it, but has anyone done it? Reason being I've got a family of 6 now and the jeep is our vehicle of choice till the youngest is 5 and we can take quads and bikes through the desert. Any links or experience on completing this seat swap?
Thanks!
As it states, I'm looking into doing the Cheromanche type cutoff back on my XJ. I've been thinking that I want to permanently install a back window/back of the jeep, but may change that. As is though, I'm interested to know which pickup back windows work and which is the easiest to go with.
I am heading down to Big Bear next weekend and wanted to see where the good camping areas are. I need to be in town by 730 on Saturday, so preferably something reasonably close, but likely to be open. Any ideas?
Thanks for the help!
I have a pair of LED 4" round flush mount trailer brake/stop/tail lights, mounting rubber flange, and 3 wire pigtails. I bought them for my expo trailer and don't need them as size constraints have forced me into ovals instead. They are the sealed 10 LED ones from etrailer. 20.00 for the set.
Ok, figured I'd put this on other forums enough and saw this thread area and figured I'd share what can be done for those who want an M416 but can't find one or who don't have 1200.00 to buy one.
Anyways, I picked up an M101a2 3/4 ton trailer from govliquidation. Out the door I'm about 450.00...
If anyone has a set they are getting rid of, I'm looking for a pair of 31 or 33's for a trailer. Low tread or highway tread is fine, just need some tires till I can save up for a pair of all seasons to put on it. thanks!
I recently won 2 M101A2 trailers and only really need one of them. I am looking to sell the other. They are both in good condition with very little rust and good tires. For the asking price I'll throw in the newer side boards and cover. If you are interested send me your email address and...
What is the best trail guide book for the SoCal area including Death Valley and the Panamint Valley area? I'm trying to find one with more than just SUV trails or gravel roads.
Thoughts and opinions?
I am trying to find a snap ring to go all around the 5-760x u-joint and had no luck with the local parts houses. Is there anyone who has found an online source for these and has a part number?
Thanks!
I'm looking for a good auto parts yard between Palm Springs and Victorville to find some parts for my XJ and am looking for suggestions. Mainly looking for selection and price. The local yards are too high so any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
I am planning to try this trail this summer and wanted to know if there are any equipment requirements to do this. Right not my XJ is stock other than about a 3-3.5" lift and 31's. I've got front and rear tow points. I just want to see if I need to start saving for anything else.
Thanks!
I wasn't sure if this goes here because I can unbolt it from my jeep. But wanted to mention it as I haven't seen it anywhere else. To make a roof basket for my jeep I used the tubing from the legs and base of our old trampoline. The tubes were about 1 5/8" diameter and I welded two legs...
It feels likes its in 4WD but isn't, and any time I turn sharp on pavement the tires will squeal or lurch. Is this a case of the hubs not disengaging or something worse. The alignment was done after I bought it and was fine and it squealed some then (2 years ago), but not as bad as now...
I have a 96 XJ sport model with 4.0 and auto transmission. Last weekend I took the time to hit several large puddles (we rarely get rain here) and later that day the engine started acting up. I should mention that the entire engine got soaked due to splashing and the size of the puddles.
As...
My brother has one that he is willing to part with for the right price but he doesn't know the specs or capabilities of it. Has anyone used one and would it be capable for bumper fabrication? I need to find out soon as I will be travelling to get it this weekend. Thanks for the help.
