A simple, "this has been posted here before" would suffice but I'm sure you'r all eager to finish the spelling game.
Hey mom, look! Me and my best web-o-friends play jokes on unknowing people by spelling words one red letter at a time because it's an inside joke. Get it?
Did I do it right? :gee:
This death trap belongs to a kid in my town, I've been driving around with my camera hoping I would cross paths with him so I could show everyone what people do to their trucks down here in the white trash capital of the world.
He lists the rear end as a 14-bolt but I've been behind him in...
Just the fact that your driving around on 5psi of tire pressure and don't see anything wrong with it other than bad gas mileage is huge indicator that there is far more wrong here than your steering set-up.
The best advice I can give, stick around here and read allot of threads and start...
I too have many miles on my No-Slip in my rear D44 and have nothing to complain about, my ex-girlfriend put about 15k of those miles when I was working out of town and driving my Honda accord to work everyday.
That being said, I live in Florida and never see a rock or any rock-like situation...
What punctuation? You know, I never really paid much attention to my gramar and punctuation until I joined this forum.
Maybe we should have an XJ owners re-education section in the forum.
I need the rear wiper arm water spray nozzle, it's what the water tube connects to so that it sprays in a nice even pattern and covers the whole area the wiper blade sweeps. I've been looking for one for two years now with no luck. I'll buy the rear wiper arm assembly if I have to as long as it...
I've had several different weldpak models and I can atest to the fact that they are great welders, I had a 175HD that ran on 220v but downgraded to the 100 when I moved and didn't have access to 220v any longer and I've got nothing bad to say about either. As with any welder, quality, fresh wire...
Running through the stock cooler will keep your trans temps in the 180~190 that the radiator runs at, isn't the external cooler in place to lower temps to around 160 or are you just trying to increase fluid capacity?
I run an external cooler slightly smaller than yours and it keeps me in the...
If your lucky you'll stumble across a d44 which is far stronger and has 11"x2.5" drum (don't quote me on that) brakes and is a direct bolt in also. I got my d44 and a 50% off sale weekend and re-geared with a powertrax no-slip and I was amazed at the traction and strength the axle provided...
If I remember correctly the axles are geared with 4.10 gears for that year and engine, I got a junk yard HPD30 with 4.10's and I think it had the GM 2.8L V6 in it. Probably has a D35 rear though, there are plenty of usable 84-96 parts on it though.

That seal is mounted in the tail cone which must be removed to do a hack n' tap on a pre-96' NP231. You'll have to use the RE1801 Hack n' tap SYE kit for this t-case.
Looks decent but you could just swap in a ZJ tie rod and save up the money for a 1ton wheel to wheel over the knuckle system.
That being said, I have rustys OTK steering system. I got from some kind of overstock seller on eBay a few years ago for like $150 but I don't think I would pay what...
I recently installed an 01' intake manifold (equal length runners) and an APN style header on my 98' that has 4.10's and 33"x12.50's and I always felt like I should have gone with 4.56:1 gears but I had such an increase in power and torque after the intake&exhaust install that I'm really happy...
I for one have to say I'm proud of your accomplishment, most of the guys here (myself included) are very mechanically inclined. It's extremely rewarding to do your own work and it makes you feel less helpless when it comes to controlling the things around you, I find working on my XJ very...
