Just saw a cool segment on TrucksTV, where they were shaving door handles, and frenching license plates. From how he did it, it didn't look that hard to do. Then again...they tend to make everything look simple!! :)
A friend of mine blew out one of the rear windows in his Nissan Xterra. Instead of replacing the glass, he decided to cover it up with Diamond Plate powder coated black. Here's some pictures of how it turned out. Looks really good in my opinion!!
I was thinking of going up to watch the competition, but I could be coaxed into taking some trails. My XJ should be easy to spot. I just Hercrulined the exterior Red. Just keep an eye open for me

I see everyone's point for not carrying a spare, but unfortunatly, Paragon's rules make carrying a spare mandatory. It's part of their inpsection process. They're going to check to see if you have a fullsize spare(it doesn't have to be the exact size...just big enough to get you off the...
I took the trail guide course a couple of weeks ago. It was nothing more than 5 minutes of Kyle reading through the rules of the park. It's just something he has to get out of the way for insurance purposes.
I'm going to be up there for Sunday...I'll see if I can find you guys there. I was planning on running group 3, but if you do 2, I'll ride in your group.
If your talking about the eroded section on Valley Road in Paragon, there is a bypass to that just to the right of the trail. There is just one section of the bypass that is a little tight to manuever on, but it's more than enough room for an XJ to go through. I was at Paragon last week...
I'm going to be at Rausch Creek on the 27th and 28th, running with a Nissan Xterra group as a trail leader. Anyone want to come up and wheel with me so I don't get borred on the stock trails? :) They're a good bunch of people, and will be more than happy to have some more vehicles come along...
I was just at Paragon this past Saturday, and went through the guide course. Paragon's site states it's a free course lasting approximatly 30 to 60 minutes. In reality, the course lasted 5!! All they did was read the rules to us, and we were on our way :)
Been lurking around for a while now and just got my NAXJA membership in the mail this week, so I figured it was good timing to make a post :)
Anyway, I'm picking up an XJ44 rear this weekend, and would like to know what size UBolts I should get. Currently I have a 35. I'm running a RE4.5"...
rob, I was just out to Paragon last weekend, and I had 3 or 4 stockers that I was leading around...they all had a blast!! with skid plates, you won't have a problem...for the harder stuff, alot of the trails had bypasses. Plus some of them are just small loops off the main trail. I say...
I've never seen them check for inspection, insurance or registration. You do need to leave your drivers license at the main office while your on the trails though.
