I've got an '89 XJ and have been told that I could use up through a '90 XJ for the same transmission. ANyone know what changed in later years/whether i could use a newer transmission (say from an '01)? Most of the ones i've found in my area have a TON of miles on the '89/'90 and I'm hoping not...

I was changing the oil in my '89 XJ Ltd. (auto, 4.0 L) and the oil filter that Advanced Auto had for my engine is not what ended up fitting the threads (it suggests HP-2007, but HP-2003 is the only one that fits the threads). Kind of makes me wonder why that may be the case...any ideas? Y'all...

starts vibratin' around 25MPH, but only when I've got my foot on the gas. Clears up around 35/40, then comes back around 55MPH, only to disappear again at 65MPh ...hoping it's not driveline vibes, but what else could it be? Ball joints...wheel bearings?:dunno:

1989 XJ Ltd. Measures 12v at the battery(and on the gauge) and dips when i put on the brights, and heat. After giving it some gas, the voltage does not return to 12v and also never gets to the 14-15v that it probably should be running... we just finished replacing the alternator and tested...

The jeep's already loud enough with a leaky sunroof (howls on the HW), that I'd like to keep the noise down if possible. Anyone have some suggestions on a quieter catback system? I've read that Flowmaster and borla tend to be fairly loud, but don't have much experience in hearing a lot of them.
