If you are going through the work to swap a v-8 why go with a little block. NO BALLS? It is the same amount of work for a big block...try a 440! There is no replacement for cubic dispalcement..especially in ther torque department!

Hi guys been deployed again. I am till running my 88 XJ with a 4.5 lift cut-outs and 33 in x-terrains on my stock 3.55's. I am getting a grossly horrific 10 mpg.
I do not use my rig off road much anymore but tow my boats a lot and never get to use cruice and overdrive. Been blowing it off...
With my roof rack and the 4 lights on top of my 89cJeep with a 4.5 inch lift and 33's, I am lucky to manage13-14. I recently took the roof rack off and gained about 2 mpg back, and am now running my winter wheels (31's) and pulling about 16.
